My current research, with Cynthia Howson from the University of Washington Tacoma, examines the rise of the Chinese wine industry. Previously, I worked on NGOs and economic development. I have done fieldwork in the NGO sector in Bangladesh and, since 2013, in the Chinese wine industry.
